kota singa

finally finished typing up this post. pardon me for the long silence. internet doesnt interest me as much whenever i'm home. hehe



spent two days in singapore. didnt get to see much. i so want to go back. the mrt is fantastic. and the city is super clean!

anyways, i tagged along to accompany mama, who was originally responsible to be the "guru pengiring" to one of the boys. the long story is, the parents didnt initially approve of him to go for the competition as the date was too near of their spm trials, but after a lot of begging from the whole band, they let him go for just the competition day and would return straight afterwards. whereas the whole bands were to stay there for about 5 days to attend all the workshops and sightseeing.

rehearsal's night: everyone looked so exhausted they could hardly blow. =P

the fancy hotel: park royal on kitchener road. rm282 pp per night! quite expensive, but it's nice to get pampered like this once in a while.




the venue: chantek. i wished kmb would look like this.haha

i couldnt get any pictures inside the hall, or even recorded their performances as photography and videos werent allowed. i even get told to put down my camera down when i just wanted to take the picture of the stage before the show even started! the competition lasted all day as there were 18 bands to perform. and luckily they were to go first. their "russian christmas music" was superb! and even though the didnt win, they did great and deserved the silver award.

and i didnt get the chance to go to merlion park and take pictures with the lion head, so i cant really say i've been to singapore.could i? hence,maybe next summer break for another trip to kota singa.
