week one

week one of spring term 2007: jan 31st - feb 2nd

monday
0800-1300: anatomy lecture + dissection class + human biology lecture
1400-1800: gp attachment at newtownards.
had to rush to get to the gp place, and had to fork out 6gbp for the taxi fare. aih,
twelve weeks of attachment, it surely gonna burn a big hole on my pocket.

tuesday
0900-1300: individual in society+microbiology+microanatomy lectures.
four lectures in a row!!

wednesday
0900-1300:public health+microbiology+mechanisms of disease+immunodefieciency disease
lectures
another boring day full of lectures. amd my butt actually hurt from sitting on the
wooden bench. had all lectures in royal hospital, so no comfy chairs like in mbc.

thursday
0945-1045:human biology tutorial
had some mix up with the timetable&study guide. the tutorial was a 2-hour
tutorial instead of one hour. it was supposed to start an hour before, but heh,
thank god the the tutor didnt kicked us out. pity the 2 guys that came shortly
after us..

1400-1600:student selected component:autonomic control of cardiovascular system
this was my first session, when other modules have started on tuesday. the
lecturer was great but he just kept on and on and on... it was kinda hard to stay
awake. but then again, probably my body used to be napping at this time in the
afternoon.hehe

friday
0900-1040:dissection class.
we were looking at the brachial plexus and muscles of the upper arm today. quite
bored as i only get to see my two of my group mates dissecting, and it's a bit
frustrating as their mouth moved more than their hands did.

1045-1055:had a few minutes to spare as we finish our class early. headed to the computer
lab.people were busy talking about the newly released result. checked mine.
and alhamdullilah, so far all the marks were great..hehe. well,maybe not for osce.
i could have done better. but the agony of waiting is not over yet. the marks for
systems course has not been published yet. rumour has it that so many people
failed that the exam boards were actually reviewing the passing marks.

1100-1245:microanatomy practical.
look up a few slides of lymphoreticular systems. as usual, my groupmates were all
chatty, didnt really bother to identify the slides. oh well, maybe for the first five
minutes..

2315:two more days of waiting. and it is seriously a torture. then again, you dont wanna
know the results, but you wanna know. get what i mean?? i hope real bad that i will not
fall into the said 25% who failed. or the other girls either. and till the result is release,
that uncertainty feelings gonna bothering me for the whole weekend.
